I’m Corey — an airline pilot, photographer, filmmaker (amatuer), and founder of Journeys Uncharted. I’ve been flying since 2010, but my love of travel started long before that. There’s something about taking off into the unknown, watching the earth fall away beneath you, and wondering what stories wait at the next gate. That sense of wonder has never left me.
At 18, I took my first flight lesson. It was nothing glamorous — a tiny trainer rattling in the Florida sun — but it lit a fire that’s carried me across skies and continents. Since then, I’ve flown everything from the CRJ700, EMB 145, E175, and PC-12, all the way up to the Airbus A321. And if all goes well… a widebody’s next.
But Journeys Uncharted isn’t just about the planes. It’s about the spaces in between.
In 2023, I picked up a camera during a layover and something clicked — literally and metaphorically. I started sharing photos and short stories on Instagram under the name Journeys Uncharted, capturing quiet moments in faraway places: an empty street in Zermatt before sunrise, a thunderstorm over the Midwest, a night market tucked behind a hotel in Rome. The kinds of places you don’t see in the brochure — but never forget.
